The Henry Ford hosts Dedication Ceremony of Enhanced Heroes of the Sky Exhibit with Delta Air Lines Foundation
(Dearborn, MI., August 17, 2018) – On Friday, Aug. 17 join The Henry Ford and the Delta Air Lines Foundation at 11 a.m. for a special dedication ceremony honoring the enhancements made to the Heroes of the Sky exhibit inside Henry
Ford Museum of American Innovation. Earlier this year, the Delta Air Lines Foundation made a donation to allow The Henry Ford to amplify its aviation experience with technology updates and more immersive activities.
Upgrades to the exhibition include, a new fuselage experience featuring four eras of passenger travel with more accurate interior finishes, realistic sound and animated views through the windows. An upgraded wing walking tent giving visitors the idea
of what it feels like to walk out on the wing of a plane is also included in the experience. The Wright Flyer area of the exhibit has been enhanced with new immersive audio and lighting along with new artifacts from the Wright Brothers. New artifacts
from Amelia Earhart are now on display for the first time.
The Delta Air Lines Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1968 to enhance Delta’s charitable giving. It is focused primarily on the areas of education and health. For more on the Foundation, visit the Delta News Hub.
